20th Anniversary of the Ulica Foundation

Today is THE day…
A day that reminds us that everything began with one person’s dream and courage.
Exactly 20 years ago, on February 3, 2006, Adrian Kowalski founded the ULICA CHILDREN’S AID FOUNDATION—a space for connection where children, young people, and supportive adults learn together how to turn the difficult into the possible. It is a story of growth—from a small seed into a tree that provides shade, strength, and hope.
And it wouldn’t exist without you. We are grateful to everyone who has been with us in the past, is with us today, and will be with us tomorrow:
- For the children, who teach us the most,
- For the parents and foster parents, and for their trust,
- For the coaches, teachers, principals, educators, foster care coordinators, social workers, psychologists, therapists, and volunteers—the unsung heroes of everyday life,
- For everyone who builds with us a place where belief in dreams turns into belief in people and their stories.
We thank our supervisors, mentors, and fellow travelers—especially Ben Furman
Ben Furman—for the wisdom and inspiration that change the way we help.
We also thank Neo Energy Group for their trust and support, which have allowed new initiatives to flourish.
Today, we feel especially grateful for every moment someone has heard, “I am proud of you!”—because those words can move mountains and are exactly what the Foundation instills in the hearts of children, families, and professionals. The ULICA Foundation is not just an organization—it is a community that grows and matures alongside everyone who crosses its path.
And this is just the beginning!
Throughout the year, we will celebrate mindfully—every step, every change, and every lesson.
With gratitude in our hearts and faith in the future—we keep moving forward!
