The Kids’ Skills method in working with neurodivergent individuals

What will I learn during the training?

Training program

This is a comprehensive, advanced training course that expands and deepens the Kids' Skills method, providing specialists with the tools and knowledge necessary for effective work with neurodivergent individuals, supporting their development and overcoming difficulties in an empathetic, resource-focused way.

During the training, participants will:

  • They will learn ways to individualize work based on following the needs of the client/student/child, with their well-being at the core,
  • They will have the opportunity to practice the individual steps of the method during the training,
  • They will gain skills (communication, organizational, methodological) for working with neurodivergent individuals (including those with ASD and ADHD) and diverse groups, incorporating fundamental knowledge of individual and group processes,
  • They will discuss the principles and application of universal design using the Kids’ Skills method,
  • They will acquire/expand skills in complimenting individuals and groups,
  • They will gain skills in building agency and the conviction in individuals and groups that they are capable of making the effort to change and overcome problems,  
  • They will learn ways to gain insight into working with individuals and groups, and how to monitor the effectiveness of the method.

Training foundation

The training is based on Dr. Ben Furman's Kids' Skills method.

This is an advanced-level training, which means that participants must be certified Kids' Skills Practitioners.

Basic information

Training duration: 10 training hours

Training location: The training will be held in-person at the Dr. Ben Furman Motivational and Preventive Center,
ul. Huberta 2, Katowice (Brynów)

Training hours:
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Target audience: Specialists, teachers, educators, coaches, therapists, pedagogues, psychologists, parents, and foster parents


The training fee includes:
10 hours of training, coffee breaks, training materials, and a certificate of completion.


Training fee:
450 PLN

All proceeds from the training go towards the statutory activities of the ULICA Foundation for Children

Learning outcomes

During the training, participants will acquire skills to work with diverse teams and groups, as well as in individual settings, by utilizing information and adapting it to the specific needs of the group or individual.

Dr. Agnieszka Lewko and Monika Burzyńska

Ambassadors of the Kids' Skills method, which they have practiced for years in individual and group sessions, as well as in work with diverse teams—both in and out of school. Specialists whose combined strengths create a unique synergy of knowledge, experience, and passion. Through their long-term commitment in scientific, educational, and personal spheres, both trainers are exceptionally well-prepared to share practical knowledge and inspiration with all educators looking to deepen their expertise in supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and beyond. Their training goes beyond theory, offering proven methods, deep understanding, and empathy to help effectively build bridges of communication in a world of neurodiversity and disability.
