Skillful Academy – Resilience & Skills Program
Resilience and Skills Development Program

What is Skillful Academy?

Skillful Academy is a development space created for professionals who support children, youth, and their families every day—and who want to work based on solutions, resources, and skills rather than problems. It is a place where theory meets practice, and professional tools become real support in educational, family, and care environments.

The Academy was created to provide professionals with a clear, modern, and structured development path based on the Kids’ Skills methodology, the Collaborative Parenting Approach, and the Ambassadors of the Impossible program.

Why join Skillful Academy?

Skillful Academy is a space that brings together practitioners, teachers, therapists, and mental health professionals.

You learn from the best—Dr. Ben Furman's methodology, which focuses on building skills rather than diagnosing problems.

Our training is based on proven, scientifically validated methods that genuinely improve the quality of work with children and youth.

At Skillful Academy, you don't just learn theory—you receive concrete tools that you can apply immediately in your daily work with children, youth, and families.

Our methods (Kids’ Skills and Skillful Group) are recommended for individual, group, and classroom work, providing you with support in every form of interaction with your charges.

Additionally, you have access to materials and publications that support your practice—available in the Foundation's Shop, where you will find, among other things:

  • books by Dr. Ben Furman on the solution-focused approach and creating environments that foster skill development,
  • SKILLFUL CLASS cards – practical skill cards that support work with groups and classrooms,
  • workbooks and supplementary materials designed to support the development of children's and youth's competencies.

100% of the proceeds from shop sales are dedicated to the Foundation's statutory activities and supporting the mental resilience of children and youth, meaning every purchase strengthens your practice while directly supporting the Foundation's mission.

By joining the Academy, you become part of a network of professionals who support each other's growth, exchange experiences, and inspire one another.

The Skills Development Academy is a space where you will find support, consultations, and partnership—regardless of whether you work in a school, social services, foster care, or a therapeutic setting.

The Skillful Energy educational platform—a modern online learning space—launches in 2026. If you would like to receive information on how to join our community, sign up for our newsletter.

Skillful Academy offers programs and training that can be fully or partially subsidized, making professional development truly accessible. Funding is made possible by our Strategic Partner, Neo Energy Group.

This is an investment that translates not only into your skills but also into the well-being of the children, youth, and institutions you work with.

We believe that it is the "strong adult" who can effectively support children. Our training programs not only develop professional competencies but also help you maintain balance, mindfulness, and job satisfaction.

This is a space where you also receive support and learn to take care of your own well-being.

At the Academy, we offer supervision, expert support, and solutions that help you work effectively without burnout.

Your sense of agency and comfort at work are just as important to us as skill development.
