TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Expanding knowledge regarding the specifics of adolescence (ages 10–21) and the development of young people within the context of the family system.

Improving the diagnosis of the situation in which the client—the teenager—finds themselves, including their needs, expectations, and capabilities, while taking into account both resources and limitations, as well as the family, school, and broader context.

Developing skills to support teenagers and their families, providing guidance, and activating their natural resources to improve coping mechanisms, while simultaneously refining one's own stance of neutrality and not-knowing.

Presenting possibilities for using modified techniques in the face of various adolescent problems, e.g., anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and eating disorders.

Expanding knowledge and strengthening competencies regarding difficulties arising from the multifaceted nature of gender identities (including identity exploration/experimentation/questioning).
