Volunteering at the ULICA Foundation
Create change with us—support, grow, and inspire others.
Join the Skillful Ambassadors.

Volunteers are the heart of the ULICA Foundation. Thanks to them, our workshops, educational programs, and initiatives for children and youth can truly change lives—strengthening mental resilience, developing a sense of agency and community, and helping young people discover their potential.

Volunteering at the Foundation is not just a chance to help others—it is also a space for personal growth. We learn how to support children and youth, how to create engaging educational materials, how to work in a team, and how to develop our psychosocial skills. In our work, we combine a passion for child development with a mission to make the "impossible" possible.

By joining us as a Volunteer - Skillful Ambassador, you make a real impact on children's lives while growing yourself—building skills, empathy, and competencies that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Volunteering goals:

  • Strengthening the mental resilience of children, youth, and volunteers,
  •  Developing the social and personal skills of our volunteers and interns.
  • Engaging participants in real Foundation projects, including the creation of educational, animation, and promotional materials.

As part of our volunteering efforts, the Foundation also runs a student internship program: Skillful Interns – Interns of Development and Courage

Program participation – rules and opportunities

  • Creating content for the Skillful Energy platform (e.g., short videos, posts, infographics).
  • Preparing motivational materials for the Power Off – Power On program.
  • Assisting in the organization of local events and initiatives.
  • Administrative work: document management and support for project coordinators.

The primary form of volunteering is on-site. In exceptional cases, remote involvement is possible following prior individual consultation with the volunteer coordinator.

Skillful Interns student internships are held exclusively on-site, allowing for direct contact with children and adolescents.

Students gain practical experience, learning high standards of work, ethics, and responsibility—competencies essential for future psychologists, educators, and social workers.

This is a space where personal development meets a real impact on the lives of young people.

  • Participation in practical and theoretical sessions according to the internship schedule, assisting trainers conducting workshops for children and adolescents,
  • Creating motivational and educational materials for Foundation programs (Power Off – Power On, Ambassadors of the Impossible).
  • Creating and managing content for the Skillful Energy platform.
  • Administrative and documentation work: preparing reports, data entry, and organizing project documentation. Support for research on the mental resilience of children and adolescents.

The starter pack has been designed to help you begin your journey as a Skillful Ambassador or Skillful Intern – you will get to know the team, the rules of work, and the tools and methods that will allow you to effectively support children and youth while developing your own skills.

  • Welcome meeting (online/offline) – meeting the team, learning about the Foundation's mission, and being assigned a role. Discussion of cooperation rules, volunteer/intern work standards, and expectations for participants.
  • Introductory mini-training (2h) – an introduction to the principles of working with children, safety, the basics of child psychology, and the Kids’ Skills method, which helps develop resilience and emotional flexibility in young people.
  • Starting activities in your chosen area:
Workshops and animation (Skillful Ambassadors / Skillful Interns)
Creating content for the Skillful Energy platform
Preparing Power Off – Power On motivational materials
    Administrative and documentation work.
  • Integration meetings – held every six months for exchanging experiences, mentoring, and reflecting on personal development and the results of work with children.
  • Mentor support – mentoring, access to work tools, ongoing consultations, and continuous assistance with challenges in working with children and creating materials.

Volunteering at the ULICA Foundation is more than just giving your time – it is an opportunity to create a world where the impossible becomes possible. Every meeting with children and youth, and every moment spent preparing workshops or motivational materials, has a real impact on their lives.

Volunteering provides a sense of agency – you see how your commitment helps young people grow stronger, discover their own talents, and build resilience. This experience teaches patience, empathy, and listening skills, while also showing how much we can achieve together in a community of people with shared values and passion.

For a volunteer, it is also a space for personal and professional development. Every workshop, online support session, or creative project you participate in develops your competencies: communication, teamwork, creativity, digital skills, as well as the ability to handle situations that require flexibility and courage.

But most importantly, volunteering adds meaning to everyday life. It gives you the feeling that your actions matter, that you are part of something bigger – a mission that inspires children and youth to believe in themselves and discover that even what seems impossible can become possible.

More about NEG:

As a leading developer and operator of renewable energy sources (RES), Neo Energy Group is deeply committed to sustainable development. The company also engages in social initiatives that not only promote the well-being of children and youth but also build their psychological resilience—a protective shield that is a key element of their health and prosperity. By supporting the ULICA Foundation and its Center, NEG actively contributes to the development of ecopsychology and the ideas of Dr. Ben Furman. It also demonstrates that responsible business and sustainable development are not just about investing in technology, but also in people—especially the younger generation. The innovation embedded in Neo Energy Group's DNA is also visible in the Foundation's activities and the concept it promotes, which uses modern tools to rebuild and strengthen the psychological resilience of children. As a result, children's problems are beginning to be viewed differently. They are becoming processes of learning new skills that help overcome difficulties and initiate the process of desired change. The accessibility of these initiatives to local communities is further proof that Neo Energy Group understands and takes its social role very seriously, possessing the power to influence positive change. By supporting the ULICA Foundation, the company joins forces with those working for a better tomorrow, where every child—regardless of where they live—has the chance for healthy development in harmony with the world around them.
